Station Director

Ryan has been with ACTV since day one. He currently serves as both the Station Director and the Anderson County Schools Communications and Public Relations Coordinator.

Ryan’s educational background includes a bachelor of arts in both speech communication and broadcasting from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and a masters degree in school supervision and leadership from Lincoln Memorial University.

Ryan has 2 children, Jackson, a Pokemon card playing champion, and Alyssa Kate, his redheaded firecracker. Ryan has been a lifelong Trekkie and loves all things Star Trek.

AndY Garrett

Station & Production Manager

Andy has proudly worked for the Anderson County Government as station manager of Anderson County Television since 2008. In his role as station manager, he produces educational and government content for two of the school systems in Anderson County and several government offices.  Andy is a 2006 graduate of Middle Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Science in television production. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, skateboarding, making music, and working in his garden. Andy has been married to his wife Sara since 2009 and has two wonderful children; Jonah and Josie.

ACTV is a Non-Profit Education/Government Channel (EG Channel) serving the Education, Government Offices, and the Municipalities of Anderson County in Tennessee. The goal of ACTV is to provide the citizens of Anderson County up-to date access to all that is going on in both Anderson County Government and Education. ACTV is an Educational/Government Channel (EG) and is governed as such by the FCC. ACTV is required to follow the rules outlined by the FCC for Education and Government stations. (Example- Section 315 [47 U.S.C. §315] Facilities for candidates for public office.)

The videos located in the On Demand Section of this site are live recordings of each meeting, but are not intended to be the official minutes. The Official Minutes of the Anderson County Commission Meetings are kept in the Anderson County Clerks Office. The Official Minutes of the Anderson County School Board are kept in the Director of Schools Office.
